I was challenged by a crafty friend to have a go at a Journal Page. She sent me a link (and a pink pig journal) to a very talented lady who makes Journal pages from scraps and other bits of stuff she had lying around. I have never even thought of trying to make a journal page as its not something that I thought I would be able to do.
Anyway I watched the video a few times and then dug deep into my craft drawers to see if I could find anything to make one with.
I had plenty of scraps of paper that was easy. Then I found a piece of old net that has been sat in my embellishment drawer for ever so I chopped off a couple of bits of that. I found some rubber stamps with the hexagon pattern and sentiment and thought they would be ok and I also found one with a clock. I am no good at Distress inks so haven't got any of those. I tend to use Dew Drop Inks to make backgrounds but they wouldn't do for this so I fished out my chalks. Haven't used them in any great capacity in ages either.
AND.... Here is the result and my first ever journal page
I would like to enter this into the following Challenges
Here is the link to the video tutorial that I watched. You can tweek it to suit what you have like I did The lady is called Marta
