R is for Ryan

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of a new challenge over at A Gem of A Challenge

The theme for the next fortnight is chosen by me lol and it's For the Men/Boys.  With Father's day around the corner I figured this would be a good theme for this time of year.

I decided to make my youngest son a Letter R.  I bought the letter from Ebay and used Ranger Blue Ink to cover it.  The Image I chose to work with is called Terry Dinosaur and I have coloured him using Copics.  I decorated the blank bits of the "R" with some Candy to take off the plainess of it.  I really enjoyed playing with this, it's good to something different every once in a while lol.

Lucky Me with Butterfly Kisses!

Hi Everyone

I just wanted to share this card with you that I made with one of the images that I was lucky enough to have won over at the Conie Fong Facebook Group  There are two versions of this image, this one which is called Butterfly Kisses and there is a version with a cake too called Butterfly Wishes.  I was lucky enough to have won both versions in a game!

I have coloured her with copics and added a touch of sparkle to the edging on her dress using a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen (this doesn't show up very well in the photo) and then mounted her onto a 7" Square Scalloped Card.  I added some Pearl Flower Gems but have kept this CAS as I wanted to show off the image.

Baby Giraffe

Hi Everyone

It is the start of a new challenge over at Creative Craft Cottage today.

The theme for the next fortnight is Include an Animal.  Please come on over and join in with us.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Sentiments Designs and I chose to work with this image called Gaffi which I have coloured using Copics.

For my DT card I made a baby card.  I thought I wouldn't put a sentiment on it as I can use it then for either a new baby, christening or 1st Birthday (Whichever I need first lol)

The card blank is an 8" Square and the patterned card is from my stash.  I cur the image using a Go Kreate Circle Die, added a bow and finished with Blue Pearl Gems.

I followed the current sketch from Cheerful Sketches and I decided not to add too many embellishments so that you could definitely see that I have used it lol!

Happy 60th with Chloe

Hi Everyone

I have a card to share today with you that I made for my Friends children to give to the Nan for her 60th Birthday.

The image is from Pink Gem Designs and is called Chloe with Daisy.  I have coloured her using Copics.

The Card is a 7" Scalloped Square and the patterned paper is from WRS.  I cut and layered the image using a Spellbinders Grand Oval Die.  The sentiment was typed before I printed the image.  Lubie is the word for Nan in another language apparently and that's what they call her.  I added paper flowers, a Satin Bow and finished with Pearl Gems.

Bubblegum Blue Porsche!

Hi Everyone

I was asked by a friend to make a card for her Husband from her Children.  Apparently his favourite car is a Bubblegum Blue Porsche.  She asked if I could colour one up as close to this colour as possible

This was the photo she sent me and said "Something like this"

"Yep No Problem" was my reply lol.  Well I hit Etsy in search of Porsche Digi Stamps and found this one called Porsche Art from Concepts by AC You need to check with the artist Albert if you are wanting to sell your project but I have his permission to use this one and he is very helpful.

As you know I am more into cutesy, people images so this was a challenge for me but one I really enjoyed.  The Card size is A5 and I used checkered Blue Cardstock from my stash.  I cut the Banners/Flags using a Joy Die and typed the sentiment on the laptop and printed it out.  So here we are what do you think?

Miss Whippet

Hi Everyone

I would like to share this card with you.  I was asked by a friend to make a Saucy Card for her Husband.  Well I like that task because it gives me a good reason to play with Slinky Images.  This one is called Whippet and I have coloured her using ProMarkers.

The Card is a 6" Square and the patterned paper is from my stash.  The sentiments are hand stamped and are both from Stampingallday.

I know these images are not to everyone's taste but I had fun colouring this and it's good to do something a bit different every now and then lol.

Monochrome Magic in Yellow

Hi Everyone

I am so pleased to inform you that Monochrome Magic Challenge Blog is live today with it's first Challenge.

It's a Monthly challenge which you can enter as many times as you like.  The theme is always Anything Goes Monochrome but there will be a twist each time of an extra theme to follow.  And there will be recognition by way of a badge for using the twist for one Winner.  I cannot get my head around a blog with a twist that doesn't give any incentive for using it lol!

For my DT inspiration I have made a Notebook and matching card for a friend to give to her Daughter.  The Image is from AuroraWings and is called Flower Ballerina and I have coloured her with Copics.  I coloured this image only a little while ago and my friend liked it so much she asked me to make this set for her.

The Card is a 7" Scalloped Square and the Notebook is A5 size.  The patterned paper is from Scrap and Craft.  I typed the sentiments on the laptop and printed them out.  I added a Grosgrain Bow, Paper Flowers and finished with Yellow Pearl Gems.

I hope that you can come on over and play along with this months challenge.  Would be nice to see a few Yellow creations but don't forget it's not compulsory, as long as your project is Monochrome you can enter.

Thank you for visiting my blog, please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Here is the sketch that we are asking you to follow

I do hope that you will come on over and play along with us

My Card is a 7" Scalloped Square and the patterned papers are from LOTV.  I added a Blue trim and used a Marianne Craftables Die to cut and layer the flowers.  To finish I added Blue Pearl Gems.

Spring Hedgy

Hi Everyone

Its the start of a new challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge

The theme for the next fortnight is Spring Fever.  This theme is very open ended and can be interpreted in many different ways.  Whenever I think of spring I think window boxes full of flowers and Garden Centres bursting with colour.  The bursting of colour was what I was thinking of when I chose this gorgeous image.  This image is called Hedgy with Wheelbarrow and I have coloured it using Copics.  I was asked to make a special 65th Birthday card by a friend for her Mum and this was the perfect opportunity.

The card is a 7" Scalloped Square and the Patterned Papers are from LOTV.  I used a Go Kreate Circle Die to cut the image and layered this onto a Scalloped Circle which I cut using a Spellbinders Die.  I added a Grosgrain Ribbon and Hand Tied the Bow.  The sentiment I typed on the laptop as I seem to have misplaced my Mum stamp.  Very annoying when you go to get it and its not with all your others lol!  The 65 Today was also typed up on the laptop.  I popped on some Paper Flowers and added Pearl Gems to the centres.  I finished with Blue Flower Pearl Gems.

I think this is the first time I have coloured up a Hedgehog but these are so cute it won't be my last.

Monochrome Criss Cross Card

Hi Everyone

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Creative Craft Cottage

The theme for the next two weeks is a DT favourite Three of a Kind.  Basically you need to include three of something in your creation.  I included three butterfly die cuts in mine and three Pearl Flower Gems on the tag.

We have a fabulous sponsor for this challenge.  Bugaboo Stamps are the sponsor and the image I chose to work with is called Dandelion Butterflies

For my DT inspiration I made a Criss Cross Card.  I haven't made one of these for a while but I love making these with their little pull out tags.  I made this one 6" Square and the patterned paper is from Trimcraft.  I decorated the edges with Black Lace and cut the butterflies using a Memory Box Die.  To cut and layer the image I used a Go Kreate Circle Die and a Spellbinders Scalloped Circle Die.  The Tag is cut using a Tonic Die.  I used a Polka Dot Gross Grain Ribbon, added a Black Satin bow then the Three Black Pearl Flower Gems
