Apple-Tastic!

Hi Everyone

I am starting on the presents for my children's teachers for Christmas.  I decided to start with this notebook for my Daughter's Teacher.

I fell in love with this Apple Hat Kid Image from Lemon Shortbread.  Teachers are always associated with Apple so thought this was perfect!   I coloured the image using ProMarkers and covered the Hat with Diamond Sparkles Candy Floss Glitter.
I have made the covers from 2mm white board and the Base/Frame Layer is a Bazzill Basics Rad Shade.  The ABC/123 Paper is from the Tilly Daydream Paper Pack.  The back is covered in a paper from this pack too.  I wanted to make it personal so I typed the sentiment on the computer and printed it off.  The Apple Die cuts are a Poppystamps die and I cut one in red and one in green.  I added an Apple Charm to the hinge and this actually says NO.1 Teacher on it although it is hard to see this in the pic.  I used a leaf die and decorated this with some Red Paper Flowers.  I popped on a Red Bow and finished with Pearl Gems.

I had so much fun making this that I need to make another one lol!  Got 3 Teachers and 3 Teaching assistants to make gifts for so look out for more of these in the future!

I would like to enter this Note Book into the following Challenges

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and share this Note Book with me.  I have other ideas floating around in my head for teacher gifts so please do come back and look out for these!!  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Sew Happy Birthday

Hi Everyone

It is the start of a new challenge over at Craft Rocket Challenges.

The theme for the next fortnight is Use Ribbon and/or Lace.  Please come on over and join in with us.

I would like to share this card I have made for a friends Birthday.  She loves sewing and one of the loves of her life is her old Singer Sewing Machine.  Therefore when I won a voucher for The Paper Shelter recently I just had to get this image called Vintage Seamstress and make her a card with it.  I coloured this image using ProMarkers.

The Card Blank is a 7" Square and my Base/Frame Layer is a Bazzill Brown Shade.  Both the Patterned Papers are from LOTV.  I used a Circle Die from Go Kreate to cut out and layer the image.  I have added white lace and string pearls and various paper flowers to decorate this card.  To finish I added Brown Pearl Gems

Thank you for visiting my blog and sharing this card with me today.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Oriental Style for a Friend

Hi There Everyone

It is the start of a new challenge over at Creative Craft Cottage

The theme for the next fortnight is Anything Goes.  We have some great sponsors once again so please come on over and join in with us.

One of the sponsors is SLSLines who kindly gave us a choice of images to work with.  I chose to work with Geisha with Umbrella which I coloured using ProMarkers.

For my DT project I made a Card for my friends birthday.  She loves all things Oriental so this image was perfect.

The Card Blank is a 7" Square and my Base/Frame Layer is a Bazzill Basics Green Shade.  The Pattern Papers are from a Paper Pack that I have had for ages but I have lost the cover.  I think it might be a First Edition one but am not sure.  It has glitter over alot of it!  The Sentiments are both from Stampingallday which I stamped up using a Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad.  I cut the image out and layered it using Spellbinders Dies.  The Flowers are a new die that a friend sent to me recently.  They are great as the middle layer pops up making them 3D!  I have used Pink Pearl Gems for the Centres.  To finish I have added some Green Pearl Gem Flowers.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and share this card with me.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Flowers and Curls Sketch

Hi Everyone

If you haven't already please come on over and join in with our monthly sketch challenge at Creative Sketchy Girls

Today is the start of a new challenge and that means a great new layout for you to play along with.  We have some great sponsors once again.  I got to work with an image from one of our sponsors Lemon Shortbread and it is called Flowers and Curls Girl  I coloured this using ProMarkers.

Here is my card and the new sketch layout together.  Lots of Layering in this one.  I do like to see lots of layers lol!

For my Card I used a 7" Square Card Blank and my Base/Frame Layer is a Bazzill Basics Brown Shade.  The Patterned Papers are from First Edition Paper Pad.  I used a Doily for the circle part of the sketch and stamped on the Just for you sentiment which is from Stampingallday.  I added a Ribbon and hand tied the bow, added some paper flowers and finished by adding Green Pearl Gems.

Pretty Halo Tilda

Hi Everyone

I would like to share this card with you that I have made using a Sketch that I liked the look of at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I made a card recently for a Guest Designer spot using Black, White and Red and I quite fancied the idea of making another one so here it is alongside the sketch

I used a Magnolia Tilda Stamp called Halo Tilda and coloured her using ProMarkers and added Dovecraft Red Glitter.  I cut the image out using a X-Cut Circle Die and then layered this into a Scalloped Circle which I cut using a Spellbinders Die.

The Card Blank is a 6" Square.  I know the sketch tended to lean towards a rectangle layout but I am not a fan of rectangle shaped cards so I made mine square!!  My Base/Frame Layer is a Bazzill Basics Blackbird Shade and the Patterned Paper is from LOTV.  I also used some white snowflake embossed paper.  I added a Satin Snowflake Ribbon and Hand Tied the Bow.  To finish I added three Pearl Gems.

Blue Bambino

Hi Everyone

It is that time again.  A New Challenge has started over at Craft Rocket Challenges

The theme for the next fortnight is Mostly Blue.  It would be fabulous if you would share your blue creations with us.

For my DT Inspiration, I have made a Baby Card using an image from Funky Kits called Bambino.  I coloured this with ProMarkers and used Dovecraft Shimmer Chalks to tone down the bright white around the image. The Card Blank is a 6" Scalloped Square and my Base/Frame Layer is a Bazzill Basics Blue Shade.  The Patterned Papers are both from LOTV.  I used a Spellbinders Grand Oval die to cut and layer the image.  I added a Baby Blue Grosgrain Ribbon and laid the sentiment which is from Stampingallday over it.  To finish I popped on a Blue Polka Dot Satin Bow and Blue Pearl Gems.

A Close up of the image

I decorated the inside of this card and used another sentiment from Stampingallday.

Irish Dance Records

Hi Everyone

I have two books to share with you today.
I was asked by a friend who has two daughters that both do Irish Dancing to make them a record book each.  They both do extremely well in competitions and she wants to keep a record of their wins etc and add photos to it so that they have something to keep when they are older.
I found the Irish Dancer image at The Stamping Boutique and she is called St Patrick's Day Audrey.  My friend sent me a photo of her daugter's in their costumes so that I could base the colours on it as I didn't have a clue lol!  I coloured them using ProMarkers.
These books are both A5 in size and cut from 2mm board.  They have acid free white blank pages in them for adding all the info!
I covered the covers with a Forest Green Card.  The Patterned Paper on the first book is from the Back to Nature Paper Pad and the spotty paper on the second book is from Scrap and Craft.  I printed the titles out on the PC.  I cut 4 leaf clovers using my Bebunni Die and added an Irish Dancer Charm to the top hinge. The second book has some green trim on it and clear green gems.  The first one I finished off with clear green flower gems.
I would like to enter this books into the following Challenges
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge - Music
Simply Create Too - Fall Colours
Fab n Funky Challenges - Fall Colours

I would like to enter this book into the following Challenges
