Penguin Wedding

Hi Everyone

I was asked by a friend to make her Daughter a wedding card.  The bride is mad about penguins and the theme for the wedding was silver, ice blue and snowflakes.

I headed to Whimsy Stamps as I knew that there had to be a penguin couple there.  If I need a penguin I always head here lol!

This cute couple is called Penguin Bride and Groom and I have coloured them using Copics.  I was asked to give the Bride a white bouquet and the Groom a Teal Bowtie and I also coloured the ribbons on the flowers in Teal to match the colour scheme.  I must admit I did a little "Happy Dance" when at the bottom of one of my many drawers of card and paper I found some Foil Embossed Ice Blue Card with Silver Snowflakes from Hunkydory!  I also cut some in Teal Glitter card using a Robert Addams Snowflake Die.  I personalised the card with the Name and date and added a sparkly silver bow.  I finished by popping on some light blue gems to the centers of the snowflakes.

What can you see Little Bear?

Hi Everyone

Here I am sharing another inspiration for the Pink Gem Etsy Shop

I have made a bridge card so that this cute bear called Waiting Polar Bear
could watch Santa fly over from his snow mound!

I followed a tutorial for the card which you can find HERE

If you want to make a slightly bigger size I made some changes and you can find the bigger size HERE

I coloured the bear with Copics and used a Robert Addams Die to cut the Flying Santa and Reindeer.  I decorated the card blank with Ice Blue plain card and a snowflake embossed card and created the snowmound using a Wavy Border die and White Hammer Card.  I popped on a Merry Christmas Peel Off and finished by adding some White Pearl Gems to the snowflake centres.

Santa and his Elves

Hi Everyone

Not only is there a Free Giveaway where Digi Doodle Studios have teamed up with Kit and Clowder today but there is also another new cute Christmas Digi that has made his way into the store.

He is called Santa Gnome and I have combined him with parts of the Christmas Elves and Winter Snowmen pairables to make a bridge card (with an extra strut!)

I made a small bridge card recently (which will be on my blog on 26th) but I found that due to size of it I was limited to the scene I could create.  So I made my own measurements up and added an extra strut (not sure if that is the correct word) so that I could make a larger scene up.

Here are the measurements I made incase you would like to have a go

I made the base as per the measurements above and then decorated the blank using Blue card, embossed dots card and Hammer card to make the snow mounds.  All the images are coloured with Copics.

I set the scene then added some snowflakes which I cut from blue glitter card using a Tattered Lace Die.  I popped on some blue pearl gems to the centres

Mischief in the Leaves

Hi Everyone

Hope you are in better spirits than me today.  I have a stinkin cold and feel quite rubbish!

I am here to share another preview of one of the new images that will be available in the STORE on Friday

This image is called Racoon Hayride (Link will not work until Friday) and I have coloured this mischievous bunch  using Copics

The card is a 6" Square and the patterned papers are from LOTV.  I cut the leaves using a die.  I wanted to keep this fairly simple so these little guys could keep the limelite so I didn't add any embellishments.

Jazzy Jette Bookmark/Tag

Hi Everyone

I cannot believe we are nearly at the end of October and all the Halloween projects will be taken over by Christmas ones!  But with just over a week to go I still have a couple to share with you.

Here is my inspiration Bookmark/Tag this week for Digi Doodle Studios and this cute image is called Jazy Jette & Crew  I have coloured the image with Copics and created the background using a Star Stencil and Memento Dew Drop Inks.  I cut the shape using a GoKreate Tag die and added a cuple of die cut bats.  I coloured up a pumpkin which is from the Eek - A - Boo Mice Pairables set and attached this to the purple glitter thread to make the marker for the bookmark.  The Halloween word is a Tattered Lace Die.

Broomstick Tricks

Hi Everyone

I am here to share with you a tall card I have made using the EEk-a-Boo Halloween Mice
pairable from Digi Doodle Studios

I created this flying scene using the Moon with clouds and all three of the mice which I placed in different positions on the broomstick! I also used the Trick or Treat sentiment.

I copied and pasted the images into word to create my scene.  I coloured the Images using Copics and inked the sky with a Memento Dew Drop Ink Pad and a cloud die.  This was such fun to create

Here are the individual elements a bit closer

The Moon and Clouds

This cool Bat Mouse I stood on his broom, He looks like he is a real show off lol!

This mouse I sat on the broomstick as his hand was in a great pose to look like he is hanging on

This Princess Mouse just looked too lady like so I placed her side saddle on her broom and popped the sentiment in at the bottom

If you like to create scenes then these pairables are perfect.  Come and share what you create in the DDS Facebook Group We would love to see!
