Halloween Chloe

Hi Everyone

It is the start of a new challenge over at A Gem of A Challenge

The theme for the next fortnight is Halloween or Halloween Colours.  You can use any or all of the colours in this colour palette if your entry is not Halloween

I know that some of you don't make Halloween cards so I hope that you can grab some inspiration from the colour palette and play along with a non Halloween Card.

This is a sad post as this is the very last challenge that Pink Gem are hosting as they are shutting the shop and challenge blog so this is my last post as part of the DT.  I have had such fun being on this team and working alongside really talented and friendly crafters and I will miss it.  You can still buy Janets gorgeous artwork through her Etsy Shop

Here is my DT card.

The card is a 6" Square and the patterned paper is from a Gorjuss Paper Pack.  The sentiment comes with the image so I punched and layered this.  I cut a spider and web using a die and finished by adding black pearl gems.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges

Dream Valley Challenges - Pearls/Gems
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and share this card with me today.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Criss Cross Unicorn

Hi Everyone

I have a criss cross card to share with you today that I have made for my special friend and crafty colleague.  It was really bugging me how when we make criss cross cards they do not stand up.  I don't get why all the times I have made them I cut them and stick them so they don't stand up or open. So I thought why not put the criss cross on the front of the card blank so it does stand up and you can still open it!  At first I thought it would topple over but it stands up perfectly so here is my criss cross card that still opens and stands up lol.

The card blank is a 7" Square and I have used Rainbow Paper layered onto Yellow Card Stock.  I used a die to cut the fancy edging.  I used several dies to make this card up including Spellbinders Scalloped Squares, cross stitched banner, star banner, Stitched fancy frames, GoKreate Circle die and Spellbinders Scalloped Circle die. (Lots of die cutting to make this card lol!)  The image is called Bookworm Unicorn from Pink Gem Designs and I have coloured him up with Copics and a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen.  I added paper flowers, satin ribbon bows, pearl gems and star gems to decorate.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges

Here is the card without the insert

Here is the insert.  The sentiment is from We are 3

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and share this card with me.  I hope you like my "standing up and opening" criss cross card.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Mallory Gift Bag

Hi Everyone.

It's my turn to share some inspiration with you for Digi Doodle Studios  and this time it's in the form of a Gift Bag using this gorgeous image called Mallory  I have used her on a Christmas Gift Bag as I thought she looked like she was Christmas shopping but she could just as easily be Birthday shopping so would be perfect for your Birthday projects too.

I coloured her with Copics and added Diamond Sparkles Glitter too.

The bag is made from a Tonic Die and the tag die is also included in the set.  I tied the tag on with green ribbon.  The "Merry Christmas" is a green peel off.  I finished by adding a large poinsettia flower.

Don't forget to visit the Digi Doodle Studios Facebook Group where we have an Anything Goes using a Digi Doodle Image.  We also have the monthly themed challenge running too over on the Challenge Blog where the theme is Mythical/Magical.  You don't have to use a DDS Image to enter this one but there is an extra incentive if you do.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and share this bag with me.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Life's a Cartwheel

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of the new challenge over at  A Gem of A Challenge

The theme for the next fortnight is One for the Girls/Ladies.  I hope that you can pop on over and play along with us.

For my DT card I used one of my favourite Images called Cartwheel Jodie which I have coloured using Copics.  I also made a cloud background using Memento Dew Drop Inks.

The card is a 7" Scalloped Square and the patterned paper is from LOTV and Scrap and Craft.  I cut the image using a Spellbinders Decorative Circle Die, added some paper flowers, a satin bow and Pearl Gems.

It's a Blue Ellie this time!

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of the new challenge over at Monochrome Magic Challenge

The theme for the next month is Anything Goes Monochrome or Monochrome with a TWIST of Add a Bow.  I am really hoping to see the number of entries increase over the next couple of months we seem to be lacking so please come on over and play along with me.

For my inspiration project I have made a second Christmas Card for Chloe (No I am not going mad lol)  I made her one last week using this image and my friend fell in love with it and asked if I could make her one exactly the same for her Daughter.  I don't like to make two the same so I let her have the one that I made for Chloe for her Daughter and made another one using the same image as I just love it, so now Chloe will have this one lol.

The Image is from SheepSki Designs and is called Ready For Christmas.  I have coloured this cutie using Copics.  I added two different colours of Frantage around the image a white and a very pale blue.

The card is a 7" Square and the patterned paper is from my stash.  I cut the image using a GoKreate Circle die and layered this onto a scalloped circle which I cut using a Spellbinders die.  The baubles are a Memory Box Die and I popped them on some Satin Ribbon.  I hand tied the Organza bow.  The sentiment is hand stamped and is from Stampingallday.  To finish I added some Pearl Gems.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges

Hi Everyone

For my DT card I created a Twisted Easel (Haven't made one of these for ages lol!)

I used this gorgeous image called Forget-Me-Not Fairy by Christine Karron and I have coloured her with Copics

The card is a 7" Square and the patterned paper is from LOTV. I cut a tag using a die and popped on a Santoro Pinwheel to use as the "stay"  I added blue sheer ribbon and a satin bow.

Ready for Christmas

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of the new challenge over at Unicorn Challenge

The theme for this month is Add a Charm.  I hope you can come on over and play along with us this month.

For my DT card I made my Daughter Chloe's Christmas Card.  She is 8 years old (9 at end of December) and she adores elephants and when I recently saw this image called Ready For Christmas by SheepSki Designs  I knew this was the perfect image for her card.

I have coloured this using Copics and a touch of White Prisma Colour Pencil.

I cut the shape using a GoKreate Frilly Frame Die.  The Square is actually a lilac snowflake patterned paper from The Snowman paper pack but its so light it doesn't show up very well in the photo.  I cut the image using a GoKreate large Circle die and layered this onto a Scalloped Citcle cut using a Spellbinders Grand Die.  The sentiment is hand stamped and is from Stampingallday.  I used a Robert Addams Die to cut the Snowflakes, hand tied a double bow, popped on the charm and finished by adding pearl gems, a clear snowflake and a Merry Christmas Peel Off

I really enjoyed making this for Chloe.  I like layers and this was fun!

Rainbow Gems

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of this months challenge over at CCC Digi Creations

The theme for September is Use Pearls/Gems.  I hope you can come on over and play along with us.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Lemon Shortbread and I chose to work with this image called Rainbow Unicorn and I have coloured this with Copics

For my DT card I used a 7" x 5" Card blank and I have had this rainbow paper in my stash for nearly a year and have been waiting for something to use it for.  It is not very clear in the photos but I used a Dovecraft Blue Shimmer Chalk and coloured in the sky (You might be able to pick up the blue tinge in the photo lol!)  I popped on some Clear Star Gems in the same colours as the Rainbow sections to finish.
