A Notebook and a Poppy For You

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of a new challenge over at CCC Digi Creations

The theme for the next fortnight is More Than One Fold.  I always struggle with this theme when it pops up.

We have Crafty Sentiments sponsoring us for this challenge and I chose to work with this image called Emmi Loo - A poppy for you and I have coloured this using Copics.

I couldn't come up with an idea for a multifold card that I was happy with so I decided to dig out the blank notebooks I bought a while ago and make a cover for one of them.  (This uses two folds lol!)

I added a scalloped border to the top part of the cover which I cut using the big shot.  The Image I cut and layered using Spellbinders Oval Dies.  I added Paper Flowers, a Satin Bow and Pearl Gems.

I would like to enter this notebook into the following Challenges
SheepSki Designs Challenge - Flower Power
Sweet Stampin Challenge - Flowers

Thank you for visiting my blog today and sharing this notebook with me.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Thank you from Winnie!

Hi Everyone

It is the start of a new challenge today over at Creative Craft Cottage

The theme for the next fortnight is Add a Butterfly/Butterflies.  I hope that you can come an play along with us.  We have two great sponsors for this challenge so the chance is there to win some great prizes.

One of the sponsors is Polkadoodles and I have worked with this image called Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Springtime - Just for you and I have coloured her using Copics and then fussy cut her.

I made a Thank you card.  The card blank is a 7" Scalloped Square and the patterned paper is from Hunydory.  It was perfect with the glittery butterflies on it.  The sentiment I typed on the laptop before I printed the image as I didn't have a big enough stamp.  I punched two little butterflies and finished off by adding them in the bottom left corner.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and share this card with me.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Ryan's Creation

Hi Everyone

Getting the kids crafting in the holidays was the inspiration that made Pink Gem Children's Challenge. The theme is Summer Holiday/Vacation.   Ryan, my youngest Son wanted to make a card to enter as Kyle was doing one lol.  All he wanted was to make sure that there was glitter on it!

A friend told me that Simon Says is also running a Children's Challenge so we will enter that too!
Ryan likes to kick a ball about whenever he can so the holidays are great for this!

I stamped him up this LOTV Image called Super Striker and he coloured this with his felt tip pens.  Came out rather colourful lol!

I gave him a card blank and he chose this piece of football paper that was in my cut off drawer.  I had some football die cuts that I bought a while ago so he chose two of these and then couldn't wait to decorate them with Glitter Glue.

Here is is Glueing his piece of football paper and then using Stickles Glitter Glue to decorate the football die cuts.

After adding blobs and lines of Glitter Glue to the footballs he announced he wanted to add Orange coloured "diamond things"  That's what he calls my stash of pearls/gems.  So to finish he glued on some Orange Pearls.

Ryan enjoyed making this card and it kept him amused for a couple of hours.

Thank you for sharing this card with him.  Please leave him a comment to let him know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Fairy Chloe Birthday Wishes

Hi Everyone

Chloe is Guest Designing over at A Gem of A Challenge

The theme for the next fortnight is Birthday Wishes.

A reminder that Pink Gem Designs (A Gem of A Challenge) are running a special children's challenge this month too so get crafting with your little people and join in.  You can either link up your entry by blogging your child's project or you can enter over on the FB group by adding your entry to the album HERE

Chloe has made a birthday card for a friend of hers who is having a party in September.  She wanted some layout ideas so I thought would be a good idea to get her to follow a sketch and then choose some embellies to add.

The Image she chose is the pre-coloured Fairy Chloe she loved the tights apparently lol!

This sketch had quite a few layers and I was a bit concerned I might have given her a hard one for a first go but she set about picking her different patterned papers from my box.  She is getting quite confident now at measuring so I left her to it to cut her papers and mats out.  I had made a card using this sketch a few days ago so she measured my layers and copied the sizes.

The sketch is the current one at Creative Sketchy Girls

The card is a 7" Square and the patterned papers are a mix that I have in my stash.  Chloe chose these all herself and decided that they went together!  She wanted to add ribbon initially then spotted some pink trim so went with that, a feather and a satin bow.  The sentiment I typed for her before we printed out the image as she wanted her friends name on it.

Thank you for visiting and sharing Chloe's card with her.  Please leave her a comment to let he know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Birthday Clock

Hi Everyone

It is the start of a new challenge over at A Gem of A Challenge

The theme for the next fortnight is Birthday Wishes and I have used a pre-coloured Topper Kit for my card.  I prefer usually to colour my own but there are so many wonderful Topper Kits in the STORE that I thought would use one for a change.

This one is called Wine Time It comes with sentiments and decoupage elements that you can choose to use.  I cut the rose buds and layered them on for a bit of 3d and I cut and added on the Happy Birthday sentiment too.

A reminder that Pink Gem Designs (A Gem of A Challenge) are running a special children's challenge this month too so get crafting with your little people and join in.  You can either link up your entry by blogging your child's project or you can enter over on the FB group by adding your entry to the album HERE

For my DT Inspiration I have made a card that I was asked to make by a friend for her friend who is leaving for a couple of years with her husband as he has been posted abroad.

The Image is called Where're We Goin? from the Paper Shelter and I have coloured it using Copics.  The background paper is also from The Paper Shelter.  I couldn't find any travel papers so I used the one that comes with the Digi Stamp.  I cut the banners and the message I typed on the laptop.  I added Paper Flowers and Pearl Flower Gems to finish.
