Pink Gem Children's Challenge

Hi Everyone

I have some very exciting news.  A Gem of A Challenge of running a Children's challenge.  I know alot of you have sons/daughters, grandchildren etc that you sometimes craft with so its a great opportunity to get the kids crafting through the holidays.


The Challenge runs from 29th July until the 25th August.  The theme is SUMMER HOLIDAY/VACATION. 

 Here are the entry details

Chall is open to Children up to age of 16yrs.  3 prizes 
up to 6yrs.... 6 + to 10yrs... 10+ to 16yrs...
Entrants can use ANY Stamped OR digi image.
CARDS Only to be entered. 
 Theme is SUMMER HOLIDAY/VACATION
Anything to do with Enjoying the summer holidays/break ..

The DT  have asked their tiny family members to make inspiration cards and they are really fab so please pop on over to the blog and leave them a little comment!

Chloe has made this card using Chloe at the Beach card topper kit.  There are loads of summery topper kits or digi stamps if your little ones like colouring in the Store

Chloe used a 6" Scalloped Square Card Blank and the patterned paper was from my stash lol.  She used the Bigshot to cut the summer themed dies which are from Tattered Lace.  To finish she added a ink Satin Bow.

Snowy Friends

Hi Everyone

It is the start of a new challenge at A Gem of A Challenge 


The theme for the next fortnight is Christmas in July and I have used this image which was released in June this year called Snow Friends  I have coloured this cute image with Copics, a Clear Star Gelly Pen and Diamond Sparkles Glitter.

The Card Blank is a 7" Scalloped Square and I have layered Red Bazzill and White Card embossed with Snowflakes.  I added a Red Satin Ribbon and finished with Red Pearl Gems

Friendly Trotsky

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Creative Craft Cottage 


The theme for the next fortnight is Anything Goes and we have the fabulous Doctor Digi House of Stamps sponsoring us.  That mean fun prizes to be had so please come on over and join in with us this fortnight


For my DT card I used this image called Trotsky which I have coloured using Copics.  I made this to send to a friend to cheer her up as she has had a tough few weeks.  The friend sentiment is from Inkylicious and the paw die cut is a tattered lace one.  I did wonder after I glued the shapes on if I should have used the inside bits and not the outside cut but I really wasn't sure lol!  I layered the image onto Red encapsulated glitter card and finished by adding Red Pearl Gems

Summery Thanks!

Hi Everyone

It is New Release time over at Fabrika Fantasy Store 


Another five fabulous New Images are being released today.  All with the theme of Animals.  Make sure you pop over and check them out!

Here is a card I have made with one of them called Cheerful Crab.  I decided to make my youngest Son's teachers thank you card with it as its such a summery scene.

I coloured the image using Copics.

The card blank is a 7" square and the patterned papers are from LOTV.  The sentiment I typed on the laptop before I printed the image so that it was personal.  I added a decorated paperclip and some pearl gems to finish.

Monochrome with a Bow!

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Monochrome Magic 


The theme for this month is Anything Goes Monochrome or Monochrome with a TWIST of Include a Bow.  Please remember that if you use the Twist , your card still needs to be Monochrome!  I hope you can come over and join in with me this month.

For my inspiration card I used this fabulous image called Baby Feet from SheepSki Designs and I have coloured this using Copics.  The Card Blank is a 6" Square.  The patterned paper is from Joy.  I cut the image using a Go Kreate Circle Die and layered this onto a Scalloped Circle which I cut using a Spellbinders Die.  The sentiments are both hand stamped and are from Stampingallday.  I added a Satim Bow and finished with Blue Pearl Gems.

A Gamers 18th

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of a new challenge over at CCC Digi Creations 


The theme for the next fortnight is Anything Goes and we have a fabulous sponsor by the name of Doctor Digi's House of Stamps.  The images in the store are such fun and light hearted they may you chuckle.  I chose to work with this one called Videogame Vince and I have coloured him using Copics.  I made this card for a friend to give to her Son!


The Card Blank is a 7" Scalloped Square and the patterned papers are from LOTV.  The sentiment I hand stamped and is from Stampingallday.  The Happy 18th was cut using a Robert Addams Die.  I finished with Brown Pearl Gems.

Chloe's Xmas Squirrel

Hi Everyone 

Chloe has been practicing measuring and cutting our her own layers.  She is such a quick learner.  She loves using my Big Shot too.  She was wanting to make a card but I was doing other things so I said that she should see how far she could get without me in the room, which meant doing her own measuring and cutting and choosing embellies etc without any guidance.  Well I was amazed as she had this card all laid out within the hour.  Proud Mummy Moment lol!  The downside of leaving her in the craft room to get on was that it was in chaos.  There was paper everywhere.  I tidy as I go, clearly Chloe will be a messy crafter lol!

The Image is a Pre-Coloured Image called Holiday Squirrel from Fabrika Fantasy.  The Card Blank is a 6" Scalloped Square and the patterned paper she chose is from Trimcraft.  She found some die cut snowflakes and popped a clear gem in the centre of each one.  The sentiment is hand stamped and is from Stampingallday and she finished by adding a Blue Satin Bow.

Chloe's Cold Nose

Hi Everyone

So it looks like I am sharing my blog again with my Daughter Chloe.

She is super excited to be sharing this card with you that she made using this topper kit called Cold Nose Warm Wishes from Pink Gem Designs   She is also very excited that Christine and Janet have let her add it to the DT projects for the challenge that starts today over at A Gem of A Challenge  I think we will be seeing alot more of her work on my blog lol.


The theme for the next fortnight is Animals.  Please come on over and play along with us.

I am letting Chloe sort out all her own layouts and not interfering if things are not quite straight as that is how she will learn lol.  She did a very good job on this one!  I am really proud and love watching her work she enjoys it so much.

Her Card is a 6" Scalloped Square and she layered some Dovecraft Patterned Paper onto some Gold Glitter Card.  The sentiment comes with the Topper Kit and she punched this using a scalloped circle punch and layered this onto another punched circle.  She didn't want to add too much else so settled for a Gold Bow.

Cute Ella

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of a new challenge over at A Gem of A Challenge 

 

As the DT are kindly given the option of working with any image/topper in the store its so hard to choose which image to use each time as they are all so fabulous!

The theme for the next fortnight is Animals and I chose to work with this cute digi stamp called Ella which I have coloured using Copics

Check out all the other Ella images and all the rest of the fabulous images in the Store

The Card blank is a 7" Scalloped Square and the patterned paper is from WRS.  I cut the image out using a Spellbinders decorative circle die.  I added Paper Flowers, A Pink Satin Bow and Pearl Gems.

Glitzy Candy Fairy

Hi Everyone
Today is the start of a new challenge over at Creative Craft Cottage


The theme for the next fortnight is Christmas in July and we have some great sponsors so please come on over and join in with us.  We would love to see your Christmassy creations.

One of your sponsors is The Paper Shelter and I got to work with this very gorgeous image called Christmas Candy Fairy and I have coloured this using Copics, Diamond Sparkles Glitter and a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen.


I decided to use this gorgeous image to make my Daughter's Christmas Card.  I like to be prepared lol.  The Card Blank is a 7" Scalloped Square and I have used Encapsulated glitter card as my base/frame layer.  I cut the image using a Go Kreate Die and layered this onto a Scalloped Circle which I cut from a Spellbinders Grand Die.  The sentiments I hand stamped and both are from Stampingallday.  To finish I added a Red Satin Bow and Red Pearl Gems.

Pain in the Bottom!

Sparkly 50th Flowers

Hi Everyone

It is the start of a new challenge today over at Daisy Chain Challenges 



The theme for this month is Floral.  I hope that you can come and join in with us and also take a look at the fabulous DT projects that have been made for your inspiration!

I was asked a while ago by a friend to make some cards for several of her friends that are turning 50 this year.  Here is another one of them 

The Card is a 6" Scalloped Square and the patterned background card is from Hunykydory.  The Image has been coloured with ProMarkers and is called Flowers Bouquet from Conie Fong.  I used a Marianne Craftables Die to cut the flowers and I added a Glitter Ribbon as a Border.  The Happy 50th Sentiment is from Stampingallday.  To finish I added Pearl Gems to the Flower Centres.

Santa's Workshop

Hi Everyone

Its the start of this months challenge over at Unicorn Challenge

I decided to make a Christmas Decoration.  I ordered the wooden shape from Ebay and coloured it using Distress Paints, Copics and Diamond Sparkles Glitter.  I added an image called Xmas Brat Girl Dress from Bugaboo Stamps.  I have also coloured this using Copics and Diamond Sparkles Glitter then cut her out with a craft knife.

Pink Fae

Hi Everyone

Its the start of a new challenge today over at CCC Digi Creations 

 

The theme for the next fortnight is Monochrome  (One of My Favourite Themes!!)

We have two fabulous sponsors and I chose to work with this image called Fairy Fae from Delicious Doodles   I have coloured her with Copics and a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen



For my DT card I went for Pink! And made a Birthday card fro a friend.  The Card is a 7" Scalloped Square and the Pink Card is embossed with Swiss Dots.  The Sentiment I hand Stamped and is from Stampingallday.  I finished by adding some pink pearl flower gems.

Chrstimas Deer

Hi Everyone

It is the start of a new challenge over at Fabrika Fantasy Challenge Blog.


The theme for this month is Christmas in July.  Please come on over and join in with us.

For my DT card I have used my favourite image called Young Deer and made him into Rudpolph!  I have coloured him using Copics

Normally I layer ontop of the base but this time I decided to make the card like the image was framed with a mount so it all goes the other way.  Was slightly trickier to work out the measurements lol 

The Card Blank is a 7" Scalloped Square and the sentiment is hand stamped and is from Stampingallday.  I finished by adding Red Pearl Gems and a Red Satin Bow.
