Skully Mermaid Easel

Hi Everyone

Its time for a new challenge over at CCC Digi Creations.

The theme for this fortnight is anything goes and we are being sponsored by the fabulous Aurora Wings.

The Image I have used is called Evil Goth Mermaid w/Skull.  I coloured her using ProMakers and used a Gelly Roll Pink Glitter Pen to add some sparkle to her Tail (Can't seem to get the photo to show this though!)  I cut her out using a Craft Knife and mounted her on the Sea background which I created using Brushos!  I love playing with them lol!  The Card Size is an 8" Square which I made into an Easel.  This is the first time that I have made an easel card with the image "Popping" above the base. I usually make a full square and use that as the top bit of my card. (Think that made sense!!)
I have used a Bazzill Bling as my Base/Frame Layer and the Patterned Paper which I thought looked like scales (??) is from Dovecraft Back to Basics Paper Pack.  The dies I have used for the seaweed is actually a Cheery Lynn Mistletoe Die!  The Shells which make a great stopper are from the beach down the road, my children collected them when we went for a walk in the summer holidays.  To finish I added White Pearls.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and share this card with me. Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon

  5. I think this is the first time I see her coloring in pink and I'm loving it, Lisa! The greens in the background contrast nicely with the pale pink. I also love the scale patterned paper, seaweed die cuts and sea shells on this lovely card. Thank you for joining us at Aurora Wings!!
