I am so excited to be able to take part in this Challenge and the Big GD Challenge at Scrapping4funChallenges (see separate post) I would like to thank Rachelle who has organised these Challenges.
Both of these Challenges are open to voting so please would you pay a visit over to the Challenge Blog and see what you think of the other entries and also a vote for me would be very much appreciated lol!
In case you are not aware how these Challenges work. Rachelle emailed me a Sketch layout for this Challenge and a different one for the other Challenge. I had to make either a card or layout which resembles the sketch closely. I was allowed to add a few extra's like Gems!
I decided to take the opportunity and make my Mother In Laws Birthday Card nice and early. The Image I used is a stamp from Morehead called Blossom and I used a Memento Tuxedo Inkpad to stamp it up and then cut around it using a craft knife. My Base/Frame layer is a Silver Mirror Card and I then layered a Green Patterned Paper from the Back to Nature Paper Pad. The Plain Card is Hunkydory Pastel Adorable Scroable Mint. I used a Green Grosgrain Ribbon to separate the two. I then layered a Square of Pink Glitter Card and punched the rounded corners and hearts. The Large Circle I double layered using a X Cut Circle Die and the Swirly Patterned Paper is from the Up and Away Paper Pack. The Top Left Circle has Mum stamped onto the Mint Card and then I layered this onto Silver Mirror Card and then added some White/Pink Lace to edge it and a small Pink Satin Bow. The Butterfly was cut from a Pink Pearlised and Pink Glitter Card and is a Memory Box Die. The Hand Stamped Happy Birthday Sentiment I mounted onto the Pink Gliiter Card which was layered onto the Silver Mirror Card. To finish I added the Pink Pearl Gems.
Here is the Sketch and my Creation side by side
I have never worked with a Sketch Layout before and although I found it quite difficult as I was restricted I also had alot of fun with it!
I hope you like it and will take the time to pop over to the Challenge Blog and take part in the voting!
Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come back again soon.
You did great with this, all the effort definitely paid off. Well done you :) x
ReplyDeleteAmazing card Lisa I am loving the fab colours you have used for this very pretty creation, that image was the first stamp I ever bought from the Morehead range, many moons ago, she still holds that magic I felt when I first saw her, talking of magic this is a magical make.
