Christmas Bookmark Card

Hello Everyone!

Oh my Goodness!!!! This project took me a lot longer than I anticipated.  I thought I would like to make my own Bookmark Card as that way you can give a Card and Gift all in one.  I spent so much time trying to decide on which dies to use and in what colour to cut them that in the end the whole thing took me 5 and a Half hours to make!!  I enjoyed every minute of it and am already planning what Stamp to use on the next one!  As they need to fit on the Bookmark, I am quite limited.  Oooh I feel a Craft Shopping Trip coming on for smaller stamps!

Before I start on the description I would just like to welcome my new followers.  I only worked out how to add the follow button on recently so its fabulous that I have you joining me.  Thank you!

Here we go then!  The Image is a Clear Stamp from Tiddly Inks and is called Wryn Goes Caroling.  I stamped and coloured her up twice in the same colours using Promarkers.  Once for the Card and Once on the Bookmark.  I have also added Red Glitter to the Berries on her hat.  The Base/Frame layer is Forest Green Card.  I made the Pocket using this and I layered Green Spotty Glitter Paper from the Helz Cuppleditch Special Delivery Paper Pack.  The Pink Snowflake Paper is also from this Paper Pack.  The Striped Paper and the Circle Snowflake Paper are both from the Dovecraft Back to Basics Christmas Paper Pack. (I have so many layers on this card I hope I don't miss some of the info for you!!)  I have used quite a few different Dies on this card too.  They are Memory Box Frosty Wreath (This is behind Wryn!), Memory Box Frosty Border (Which I cut in half!), Crafts Too Holly Border (Which I added Red Glitter to for the Berries) and Robert Addams Snowflake Die (I used 2 out of the 3!)  I used a Red Christmas Ribbon and Made a Flat Bow for the Bookmark Pocket.  I wanted it to look like a Present.  I Hand Stamped the "With love to you at Christmas" Sentiment and Layered this onto the Pink Snowflake Paper and then the Forest Green Card.  I finished off with Pearl Gems in various colours and sizes.  For the Bookmark I used a Crafters Companion Rubber Stamp for the "Story Time" words added a Red Bow (Which I lined up with the Red Ribbon on the pocket), attached a Red Tassel and although you cannot see it in the picture I drew over the Scroll Work using a Clear Star Jelly Roll Pen.  This makes the swirls really sparkly.  It's a shame the Camera doesn't show this.(If you zoom in on the Bookmark Picture you can kind of see it lol!)

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges

My descriptions are not usually as long as this one but I used so many different bits and pieces that I didn't want to leave anything out.  When I read a blog I like to know exactly what has been used lol!  I hope that you enjoyed sharing this Bookmark Card with me.  I do intend to make some different ones (but with a different method of attaching the Bookmark, Ideas are already buzzing around!) as I do think they are a lovely keepsake!  Thank you for visiting, please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope you can come back again soon!
