Red Geisha Friend Book

Hi Everyone

A different book to share today.  I was asked to make this for a friends daughter who is leaving Junior School to go to Secondary School.  Some of her friends are going to different schools so we made her this book so that she could get her friends that she won't see anymore to write her a message!

This book is 6" square and cut from 2mm board. Normally I make blank pages to go in these books as they are used for journals, notes or photo albums.  This time though I decided to decorate the pages.  This did limit the amount of them but there is enough for the messages!  The Image is from Little Blue Button and is called Sweet Geisha Charlie and I coloured her using ProMarkers.  I went for a different effect with the cover and left the left hand side white rather than cover the whole lot!!  My Base/Frame Layer is a Bazzill Basics Pomegranate Shade and the patterned papers throughout are Wild Rose Studio.  I printed the sentiments off on the computer so that the young girl could fill in what year and her class.  I added Paper Flowers, a Silver/Red Heart Charm and some Red Clear Gems to finish.  I decorated the inside pages and also made a notes section on the inside of the back cover.

These three pics are one of the pages, the notes section and the back cover.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and sharing this book with me.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Hi Everyone

Today I have a Christmas Card to share with you.  The image is a Penny Johnson Rubber Stamp and is called Holly Jolly and I have coloured it up using ProMarkers.  I have added Diamond Sparkles Glitter to the furry and snowy bits of the image.

The Card Blank is a 6" Square and my Base/Frame layer is Gold Glitter Card.  The Patterned Papers are from Dovecraft.  I stamped the sentiment which is a Rubber Stamp from  DRS Designs.  To finish I have added a Bow and some Red Pearl Gems.

Thank You Teacher Gift

Hi Everyone

Today I would like to show you the End of Year Book that I made for my daughters teacher.  It was her first teaching post at our school and I have to say that my daughter has really had a great year with her.

I decided she needed a memento of her first year so I made her an end of year book and got all the children to sign their names in it.  I also added a class photo in it for her.

I used an image called Spells for Beginners from Doctor Digi. This Guy had to get in touch with his feminine side as I needed to make him a bit Pink!!!! I coloured him up using ProMarkers and added Diamond Sparkles Glitter to the ball at the end of his Staff!
The Book is 6" square and cut from 2mm Board. I covered the front and back cover with a Bazzill Basics Romance Shade and the Star Papers are from Scrap and Craft. I typed the sentiments (I don't know what else to call them lol) on the PC and printed them out. I used a Memory Box Precious Star Die and cut these from the Romance too. To finish I added Pink Pearl Gems. The inside pages I decorated in different colour star paper and then gortthe children to write their names on them. There were 5 in total and a notes page. On the inside of the back cover I put the class photo.

I am not sure what happened to the photos as I took this one before I put the hinges and star charm on and then cannot find one of the completed one!

Anything Goes Kitty Style!

Hi Everyone

It is the start of a new challenge at Creative Craft Cottage

The theme for the next two weeks is Anything Goes.  We would love it if you would come on over and join in with us.  We have some great sponsors once again.  Once of them is Robyn's Fetish and I chose an image called Kitty Play to work with which I have coloured using ProMakers.

For my DT card I used a 6" Square Card Blank and my Base/Frame Layer is a Bazzill Basics Marine shade.  The Patterned Papers are from Scrap and Craft.  I used a Go Kreate Circle Die to cut the image and then layered this onto a Scalloped Circle Die Cut which I cut using a Spellbinders Die.  The Happy Birthday was stamped and punched and then I used a small Spellbinders die for the Scalloped Circle.  I made a Flat Bow and added a little button to the centre of it.  To Finish I added Brown Pearl Gems.

Spotty Starry Ted

Hi Everyone

Its the start of a new challenge today over at Craft Rocket Challenges

The theme for the next two weeks is Spots and/or Stripes.  We would really love it if you would come on over and play along with us.

For my DT Card I have made a Baby Boy Card.  I have used a Rubber Stamp from LOTV called Starry Ted.  I have coloured him with ProMarkers and then used Shimmer Chalks to add some blue around him to take off the bright of the White Paper.  The Card Blank is a 6" Square and my Base/Frame Layer is a Dark Blue Bazzill Basics Card.  The Patterned Papers are from my stash.  The sentiment is from Stampingallday and I added a Blue Satin Bow.  I used a Heart Banner Bunting Die and then used alphabet peel offs to add the Baby's Name to the Hearts.  To finish I added Pearl Gems.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and share my first card on this new DT.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Morning Glory Notebook

Good Morning Everyone

This is my second post for today.  I would like to share a Notebook I made for a friend.  She loves Purple so I went with this colour and I just had to use ArtbyMiran's Morning Glory for this book.  I saw this image in the shop recently and had to have it lol!

For this note book I have cut 2mm board into A5 size and used a Bazzill Basics Purple Shade to cover it and then Patterned Paper from LOTV The back cover was done with the same.  I used a Memory Box Alphabet Die to cut the NOTEBOOK Letters and the Butterflies.  I glued on string pearls to a wide lace and popped this on to edge the bottom.  I have added a Silver Butterfly Charm to the top hinged ring, paper flowers and Pearl Gems.
Inside are Blank Pages.

I love making these books and you will no doubt see quite a few more of these appearing on my blog over the next few weeks!!

I would like to enter this notebook into the following Challenges

Creative Sketchy #2

Hi Everyone

It is time for a new sketch challenge at Creative Sketchy Girls

We have another fabulous sketch for you and we hope that you will come on over to the blog and link up your entry with us,

We also have a great sponsor.  Bugaboo Stamps are kindly sponsoring this challenge and the DT have made some lovely inspiration for you using their images.

The Image I chose is called Pretty Flower Girl and I coloured her using ProMarkers.

As you can see I decided to rotate this sketch 90 degrees.

For my DT Card I used a Bazzill Basics Pink Shade as my Base/Frame Layer and the Patterned Papers are from Crafters Companion.  Not much else to it really as I think the papers show the image off quite nicely and didn't want to busy it up too much.  So i just added some Pink Pearl Gems to finish.
