Primrose Notebook Cover

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of this months challenge over at Creative Craft Cottage

The theme for this month is Add a Flower/Flowers. I hope you can come on over and play along with us

For my DT project I decorated a notebook.  The image is from Digi Doodle Studios and is called Primrose  I have coloured her using Copics.

The notebook is A5 size and the daisy patterned paper is also from Digi Doodle Studios and you can find it in the Bumble Buzz Paper Pack HERE

I added a Lace border and made a little flower arrangement using straws and a feather.  I love adding feathers to my projects!  To finish I added some pearl gems and a pink satin bow.

Fishies for Hubby

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of this months challenge over at Crafty Animals

The theme as always is Anything Goes as long as you include an animal.  I love this challenge blog as it gets well over 100 entries each month and the projects are all amazing.  It is getting harder and harder to pick a winner and the Top spots.

30th June was my Wedding Anniversary (13 years) and since lockdown my husband has been playing a game on his phone (with our kids too) to do with fishing.  I find it totally boring but they seem to love it.  So I went with a fish themed card for his Anniversary card.

The fishy images are from the Seally For You Pairables Set from Digi Doodle Studios and I have coloured them using Copics.  The waves are a Craft Emotion Stencil and I have used Tim Holtz Distress Inks with them.

Crop It!!

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of this months challenge over at Pearly Sparkles Challenge Blog

The theme for this month is Three of a Kind.  I hope that you can come on over and play along with us this month

For my DT card I have to credit a fellow crafter as I absolutely loved her design that she used for challenge she entered a few years ago.  I asked her permission to CASe it.  Thank you Susan Sudbury for the inspiration and letting me use your design.  You can see Susan's original by clicking HERE to visit her blog post.

This "technique" is called Crop It and it's where you take part of an image.  Crop it and then use it as the focal point.

The Image I used for this is from Hannah Lynn Art and is called Tea Rose Fairy  I coloured her with Copics and then used the Eyes as my Crop It part.  I cut the white layers using a wavy stitched border die and placed them over the image.  I then mounted the whole lot onto black shimmer card.  I used the three roses from the image to pop on the front too.

There are lots of ways to do the Crop It theme but this one was a firm favourite of mine.
