Sylvie Pink Lollipop

Hi Everyone

This will be my last weekly post for the Digi Doodle Studios Inspirational Blog

No I am not stepping down from the team but we are changing things up a bit.  We have some fabulous new team members and we are going to concentrate more on the Facebook Group.  You do not want to miss out on all the fun and inspirational postings so please if you are not already a member come on over and join.

I have many favourite Images in the Store but this was the image that started me on my creative journey with Digi Doodle Studios and it is still my favourite image.  She is called Sylvie Ballerina and I have coloured her using Copics.

You can find her and all the other wonderful images in the store  HERE

This is the third time I have coloured up Sylvie Ballerina but this time she is on a Lollipop.  I am a bit addicted to making these at the moment.  I love them lol.

I Cut the circles using a Go Kreate Nesting Die and added some White/Pink Gathered Nottingham Lace.  I cut the reverse the same and sandwiched them together over the straw.  I hand tied a bow and glued this on and then finished by adding the flower gems to the edge and the centre of the bow.

February GD Dragon!

Hi Everyone

I am in my last month as GD over at Conie Fong Facebook Group

I am so enjoying working with these lovely images and will be sad when it is over this month!  I was chosen as Guest Designer by joining in the monthly challenges.  Its a great opportunity and if you haven't already you should join the Group and come and play along each month.  You too might get the chance to be a GD or win some of the fabulous prizes on offer!

I have another card to share with you using this cute Dragon Image called Tori the Dragon Raining Hearts which I have coloured using Copics.  You may remember my Valentine card using this image last month.  Just shows these images can be used for all occasions!

You can find this image and all the other fabulous images here in the STORE

For my Card this time I made my Son's Birthday card as he will be 6 at the end of April.  He adores Dragons and for Christmas he received a new Dragon which is Blue and Yellow and he loves it.  So as you can see this card is inspired by this Dragon's colours!

The Card is a 7" Square and the blue heart paper is a digital download paper pack which I bought on Etsy and the yellow spot paper is from Scrap and Craft.  So that I could add his name to the card the sentiments were typed on the laptop and printed out with the image.  I added Yellow and Blue clear heart gems to finish.

Lovely Susie Sunshine

Hi Everyone.

I am in my last month of being a GD over at Conie Fong Art and Design Facebook Group

She has had another wonderful new release that I got to work with.  This one is called Susie Sunshine and she comes in four different options.  She faces right or left and you can have her with or without the Balloon!  I chose to have her facing right with the balloon and make my first ever Lollipop Card to give to Chloe (My 8 Year Old Daughter) for Valentines Day.

You can find this gorgeous new image and all the rest of the wonderful images right HERE in the store.

I have seen these Lollipop Cards appearing more and more around Blogland and I really wanted to have a go at one  (Think there may be more than one because they are a bit addictive lol).  I was a bit stuck as to how to hide the straw and the back of the lace etc and I couldn't find any posts that showed the back when others had made them.  But as you can see (I have added a photo of the reverse lol) I got around this.

I coloured the image using Copics.  The Circles are cut using Spellbinders dies and then I added red gathered lace to frame them.  I handtied a bow in the sheer ribbon and left the ends extra long to trail down the Straw.  To finish the front I added Red Heart Gems.  To make the reverse I repeated the circle cutting and lace and then glued the two halves together over the straw.  The message I typed on the laptop before cutting out with the Spellbinders Circle Die.  I then added three Red Heart Gems.

I would like to enter this Lollipop in to the following Challenges

A Close Up of Sunshine Susie!
