Cupcake Delight!

Hi Everyone

Another downpour and it is blowing a gale as I am writing this post!  Hope you are warm and cosy.

I would like to share with you a card I have made for my Mum's Birthday.  She doesn't do the fairy/mythical images that I so love to colour, she likes cutesy animals!!  This Image is one that I won in a Challenge a little while ago and its from Gerda Steiner.  It's called Extra Sweet Birthday Cupcake.  You can find other cute images from Gerda Steiner if you click here.  I absolutely loved colouring this.

I don't normally do this but I followed a Sketch Theme from Incy Wincy Designs Challenge Blog to make this card.  Here is the Sketch I used and my card next to it.

To Create this card I coloured the Image in Promarkers and added Diamond Sparkles, Pink and Green Glitter and also Liquid Pearls to the Cake.  I Hand Stamped the Verse which is from Stampingallday using a Memento Tuxedo Ink Pad.  I used Bazzil Basics card as my Frame Layer in both a Pink and Blue Shade.  The Spotty Card is from my Stash and the Gorgeous Cupcake Paper is from Dovecrafts Cupcake Boutique Paper Pack.  I added a Pink Satin Bow, Paper Flowers and finished with Pink and Blue Pearl Gems in various sizes.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges

Thank you for sharing this card with me and taking the time to visit my blog.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think. I love reading them.  Hope you can call back again soon.

Anniversary Fizz

Hi Everyone

It's been so cold here the last few days and wet!  Hope you are all warm and cosy while you are reading this post!

I have an Anniversary Card to share with you today.  There was a lot of stamping involved in making this card.  I get nervous when I have to stamp up lots of bits to make a picture in case I do something wrong or smudge it at the last hurdle and have to start again lol!
The stamp is from Hunkydory.  I stamped the Congratulations part first using a Momentum Tuxedo Black inkpad.  The next bit was the 2 glasses.  The Bubbles are seperate again so I did them next and finally I stamped several of the little double hearts. I also stamped up the Happy Anniversary Sentiment and used a Punch to cut it out.  I don't often make an inside to my cards I prefer to leave them blank (mainly due to a lack of verses which I hope to rectify!) but as this verse from Lindsay Mason is so lovely I decided to stamp this and a few more double hearts and add an inside.  Now for the rest of the card!  The Card Blank is 7" Square and my Base/Frame layer is a Bazill Basics Pink.  Both of the Patterned Papers that I used are from LOTV Butterfly Kisses Paper Pack.  I Used a Go Kreate Die to cut the Scalloped Square which you can see positioned behind the Image.  The lovely filigree circle is from Cheery Lynn and is called Cape Cod Doily.  I added various Flowers and finished with Pearl Gems and a Pink Flower Gem.  Think that's everything covered!

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges

I had fiddly fun making this card.  I hope you like it.

Thank you- Steampunk Style

Hi There

When a Friend sent me a lovely gift I had to make the Thank You something special.  This, as she told me 100 times previously is one of her all time Favourite Images, so what better way than for me to colour this up and make a card?  Its definately not my usual type of Image but I have given it ago lol!

I don't often colour AuroraWings Images so it was nice to do one for a change.  I had no idea about colours for Steampunk and had to research.  Turns out they are any colours you like!  This Image is called Unless (Full Version) and I coloured it using Promarkers.  I used a Mustard colour Bazill Basic Card for my Base/Frame Layer and then a Patterned Mustard Coloured Paper which is from My Stash.  The Green Patterned Paper is from a Totally Gorjuss Paper Pack.  I used a Lilac Grosgrain Ribbon as a Border and Hand Tied the Bow.  I wanted to used the same colour as I used to colour in the Ribbons in their Hair.  I Hand Stamped the Thank You Sentiment and to finish added Black Pearl Gems.

I would like to enter this into the following Challenges

I hope you liked my Thank You Card.  Thanks for visitng my blog and please feel free to leave me a comment, I love to know what you think.  Hope you can come back again soon!

Fitztown Challenge #67 Anything Goes with a Twist!

Hi Everyone

As you may or may not be aware Fitztown is now an Anything Goes Monthly Challenge Blog.  Here is my Midway Inspiration for Anything Goes with a Twist of  USE PATTERN PAPER.

The Image I have used is called Cameo 4 and she can be found here.  For this one and more gorgeous images visit Fitztown Store here.

Here's what I used to create this Birthday Card for a Family Member.  The Card Blank is 7" Square and I coloured the image using Promarkers and added a bit of Sparkle to her Necklace using Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen.  My Base/Frame layer is Bazill Bling in a shade of Pink.  The Pink/Silvery Flower Background Card is from Hunkydory's Field of Dreams Card Pack.  The Brown/Pink Paper is from Pretty Pinks Paper Stack.  I used a Brown Grosgrain Ribbon and Hand Tied the Bow.  To finish I added a Hand Stamped Sentiment, some Paper Roses and Pink Pearl Gems

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges

I loved colouring up this Image.  I think she appealed to me so much because she has short hair and alot of the images have long flowing hair.  I fancied colouring something a little different this time!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and share this card with me.  I hope you will leave me a comment to let me know what you think and come back again soon!

Big GD Challenge at Scrapping4funChallenges

Hi Everyone

This is the 2nd Challenge that I have been set.  As with my Previous Post I am excited to be taking part and would like to thank Rachelle for organising them.

Please come on over to Scrapping4funChallenges and join in the fun and voting.

Once again I was emailed a Sketch Layout to work as closely to as possible.

Here's how I created my Card.  The Card Blank is 7" Square and my Base/Frame Layer is Black Bazill Basics Card.  I then layered a polka dot Paper from LOTV Bear Necessities Paper Pack.  I then layered Bazzil Bling onto the base colour to create the middle square.  The Image is a Magnolia Tilda Stamp called Little Princess Tilda which I won in a recent competition.  I coloured her using Promarkers and stamped her using a Memento Tuxedo Inkpad.  I cut her out using X Cut circle die and layered her onto a Black Scallop Circle which I cut using a Spellbinders die  I have used a couple of other dies for the flourishes that you can see poking out from under the circles. They are Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and Tattered Lace Elegant Flourish.  The pale pink circle has been cut using X Cut and is from the Hunkydory Buttons Card Pack.  The other Circle is again cur using the X Cut Circle die from Pink Glitter card and mounted onto a Black circle which I punched.  I cut the shape of the Banner where the Hand Stamped Sentiment is using scissors and finished off by adding a white bow to the base of the Spray of Flowers and added some Clear Flower Gems.

Here is the Sketch and my Card Side By Side!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and share this card with me.  I do hope you will pop over to the Challenge blog and join in the fun and have a Vote!  Hope to see you again soon!

Grand Prize Winner Challenge at Scrapping4Fun!

Hello There!

I am so excited to be able to take part in this Challenge and the Big GD Challenge at Scrapping4funChallenges (see separate post)  I would like to thank Rachelle who has organised these Challenges.

Both of these Challenges are open to voting so please would you pay a visit over to the Challenge Blog and see what you think of the other entries and also a vote for me would be very much appreciated lol!

In case you are not aware how these Challenges work.  Rachelle emailed me a Sketch layout for this Challenge and a different one for the other Challenge.  I had to make either a card or layout which resembles the sketch closely.  I was allowed to add a few extra's like Gems!

I decided to take the opportunity and make my Mother In Laws Birthday Card nice and early.  The Image I used is a stamp from Morehead called Blossom and I used a Memento Tuxedo Inkpad to stamp it up and then cut around it using a craft knife.  My Base/Frame layer is a Silver Mirror Card and I then layered a Green Patterned Paper from the Back to Nature Paper Pad.  The Plain Card is Hunkydory Pastel Adorable Scroable Mint.  I used a Green Grosgrain Ribbon to separate the two.  I then layered a Square of Pink Glitter Card and punched the rounded corners and hearts.  The Large Circle I double layered using a X Cut Circle Die and the Swirly Patterned Paper is from the Up and Away Paper Pack.  The Top Left Circle has Mum stamped onto the Mint Card and then I layered this onto Silver Mirror Card and then added some White/Pink Lace to edge it and a small Pink Satin Bow.  The Butterfly was cut from a Pink Pearlised and Pink Glitter Card and is a Memory Box Die.  The Hand Stamped Happy Birthday Sentiment I mounted onto the Pink Gliiter Card which was layered onto the Silver Mirror Card.  To finish I added the Pink Pearl Gems.

Here is the Sketch and my Creation side by side

I have never worked with a Sketch Layout before and although I found it quite difficult as I was restricted I also had alot of fun with it!

I hope you like it and will take the time to pop over to the Challenge Blog and take part in the voting!

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come back again soon.

Greyscale Dragon Dreams!

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all settling in to the swing of 2015.  Christmas seems like an age away already!  I decided I would like this year to try some new things out and one of them was having a go at colouring in Monochrome.  Nervous is the word I will use to describe how I felt before I started but I am pretty pleased with the end result.  The Image is a Delicious Doodles Image and is called Dragon Dreams.  I have previously coloured this image in greens and thought it would be a good image to do my first Monochrome colouring with as its a Darker Image.  I coloured her using Promarkers.  All the Ice Grey Colours and a touch of Black.  As this is for a Friends Boyfriend  I wanted to keep the Easel Card layout fairly CAS and she doesn't really look like a Flourish and Flowers type of girl!  I used a Black Bazzil Basics as my Base/Frame Layer and then added White and Polka Dot Card too.  I used Precious Hearts Die from Memory Box, cut these in Black and White and then glued them onto the White Ribbon Border.  I Hand Stamped both the Sentiments using Tuxedo Memento Inkpad and to finish added a Black Gem to the Heart Dies.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges

I hope that I did a good job of Greyscale Colouring on my first attempt.  I really enjoyed trying something new.  I am hoping to have a go at Sepia Colouring so please look out for that!

Thank you for visitng my blog, please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  I love reading your comments, they mean alot to me!  Hope you can come back again soon!

Cute Lucky Cats

Hi There!

Today I am sharing a card that I have made for a 9 year old  girl who has just got a part in Grease at her local Theatre.  As the people delivering the card will not see her until after the performance Good Luck wasn't an option but the card had to say that really!!  There was no better image to use than this Gorgeous LOTV stamp called Lucky Cats.  This stamp has recently been discontinued and I am so glad that I have it in my craft cupboard.  I coloured the image using Promarkers.  The Card Blank is 6" Square and my Base/Frame Layer is a Bazill Basics Green.  The Polka Dot Background Card and the Heart Paper are from my Stash.  I decided to add Lace around the Heart Strip to decorate it.  I used a Diamond Pattern Satin Ribbon and Hand Tied a Bow and added a "Just for You" Sentiment.  To Finish I added White Pearl Gems around the Image.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges
Crafty Catz - Polka Dots

White Cosy Christmas

Hi Everyone and Happy New Year!!

Hope you are all well and looking forward to a year full of craft.  I know I am!!

There were a few Christmas Cards that I just ran out of time to make for 2014 so this week I have made one up well in advance for my Mother In Law.

As you may be aware from several of my posts last year, I am a huge fan of White on White and made several of these.  They are an absolute love of mine and a nice way to start my 2015 Crafting!
The Card Blank is 7" Square and the Image is called Cosy Christmas by Laurence (Part of Stampavie) I coloured this cute image using Promarkers and added Diamond Sparkles Glitter to the Hat Trim and Bobble and used a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen on the Baubles.  I have used White Embossed Dots Card as my Base Layer.  The Image I have mounted onto Plain White Card and then a Layer of White Dots.  The Merry Christmas Sentiment is a Tiddly Inks Embossing Folder.  I used a couple of different dies for this project.  They are Wild Rose Studio Snow Flurry and Robert Addams Snowflake Dies.  I added a White Organza Ribbon and Hand Tied a Double Bow.  To finish I stamped up the "To a Very Special Mum" Sentiment and layered onto White Dots Card and then added several White Pearl Gems.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges
