Christmas Fairy

Hello Everyone

We have seen some sunshine today which was nice.  I hope it has cheered everyone up!  I would like to share this card with you that I have made tonight.  This beautiful image is from AuroraWings and I have coloured her using promarkers.  The card is A5 size and I have layered a lotv Holly background paper onto red card, added a Frosty Border in white glitter paper and finished off with a simple Merry Chrimstas sentiment, Red Bow and Sparkly Red Stars.

This is the first AuroraWings image that I have coloured and I loved working with her.  I will most definately be colouring more of these lovely images.

A Darker Side

Hi Everyone

I decided to stray away from the Cute images that I usually make cards with and try a "Dark" Image.  I have used Black Widow by Delicious Doodles.  This is the first time I have used one of her images and I will definately be using more.  There are some wonderful designs in her shop.
This card is a 6 inch square card and has been made by layering Docrafts Purple Glitter Paper onto their Black.  I made a satin Red and Black Rosette and added a Red Glitter flower with Pearl Gem middle.  I handmade the purple roses at the bottom, added a sentiment and a few more Pearl Gems for good measure.  This is totally different from anything I have made before and I had great fun creating it.

I would like to enter this card inot the following challenges

Iris - Wee Stamps

Hi Everyone

Another awful day of windy weather. But on this windy day, I have a card to share with you.  It is a 6 inch square card and I have used the gorgeous Wee Stamp image Iris, which I have coloured using promarkers.  I love these images so no doubt you will see many more of this talented designers images on my blog as time goes on.  I have used Hunkydory Diamond Sparkles Pink Swirls Background Card mounted onto Silver Mirror Card and to decorate I have used paper flowers with a Marianne Creatable Flourish Die and finished it off with a large White Satin Bow, Pearl Gems and a Green Heart Gem.

I would like to enter this card in the following Challenges

First Day at School Keepsake Card

Hi

Its that time of year when I start to make up my First Day at School Keepsake Cards.  These are extremely popular as they are a nice keepsake to give your child when he/she is older to remember their first day at school.

Here is the first one of many that I have made up today.  I make these in either boy or girl and I use the three local school uniform colours which are green, red and blue.

The card is A5 size and as a Scruffy Bear with a Blackboard and Book die cut on the front and then inside it has on the left hand page a space for a photo of the child in their school uniform and then on the right hand side has a gorgeous bear reading a book die cut and spaces for filling in School Name and other information.

As this is made using die cuts I would like to enter this into the following challenge

I hope you like these Keepsake Cards.  I also make them for New Baby's and Baby's First Christmas

Thank you for visiting my blog and hope to see you again real soon

Hello Everyone!

Its a cold, wet and extremely windy night here.  The best kind for staying in the warm and crafting!

I recently bought the Joanna Sheen Britannia Multi Rose Die (small size) after seeing a demo of the fushia you can make with it at a craft show.  How did I ever live without this in my Crafting Life! I find Paper flowers so expensive to buy, this is just fabulous!

I decided to give making a rose a go.  I watched the tutorial which was very easy to follow and below is a picture of my first attempt.  This one needs squishing up a bit (technical term) but I am really happy with the results.  The finished rose measures approx 15mm and if you cut the petals in white card you can colour them to match your project.

The Fushia you can make with this die looks amazing and that will be my next challenge.  I have also found out that you can make a Poppy using it too.

I would definately recommend this die as a must have in your craft collection.

Thank you for visiting
See you soon
