It's All new!

Hi Everyone

I was so excited to find a comment left on my blog letting me know that I had been placed 2nd at Crafty Boots Challenges.  With a placement comes a Guest Designer Spot, so here I am today!  Thank you to Dionne and the team for having me join them for this challenge.

The Theme is Ribbon or Lace and there is still a week or so to go so please come on over and join in with the challenge.  If you get a place it could be you that is being a Guest Designer!

I decided to go with the Ribbon bit of the theme.  I recently discovered a couple of new (to me) artists on Etsy and I just had to buy up some of their images.  The Image I have used for this card is called Plush Rabbit with Flowers and you can find it here along with some other amazing cute images in the Etsy shop called Astafieva.  I bought another image along with this one and I cannot wait to colour and make it into something.

If you are a regular to my blog you will know that 1) I don't usually chat much but I wanted to explain why this post is called It's All New!  The card blank is a new shape to me, the Helz Cuppleditch Paper is a new pack for me and the Image is a newly discovered artist to me and 2) I have my Mum and Mother-in-Law's Birthdays both in March and of course its usually Mother's Day around this time too so I like to get started on their cards for these occasions early.  This card is for my Mum's Birthday, she likes cutesy animals so this was the perfect image for her.  I coloured the image using ProMarkers and used a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen to add some Sparkle to the Flower and the Bows.  I bought  this card blank at the Nec back in November and have been waiting for something special to come up to use it.  I got a pack of three so two more to go but will be making a template of it before I run out as I really love it!  One of my Crafting New Years resolutions is to use and make different shaped cards from the Rectangular ones I seem to do most of!  My Base/Frame Layer is a Bazzill Basics Bright Pink Colour and the Patterned Paper is from the Helz Cuppleditch Fun Fair Paper Pack.    Again it's the first piece that I have used from the pack and there are some truly great designs in there! I used my X-Cut Rounded Corner Punch to round off the edges. I cut two Memory Box Precious Hearts Die and the Sentiments are all from Stampingallday which I stamped up using a Memento Tuxedo Ink Pad.  I used an Organza Pink Ribbon which has a Silver Glitter Thread running through it.  To finish I added Pink Pearl Gems.  I am so pleased with how this turned out (even if I do say so myself lol!!)

Thank you for stopping by my blog today and sharing this card with me.  I hope you like it.  I would love it if you would leave me a comment and if you are not already please follow my blog and see if I keep up my New Years Resolutions.  I am not doing too badly so far I don't think.  I have made this one and a Criss Cross Card which I haven't done before so I have got off to a good start lol!  I am buying up some new Frame Dies so that should also help me on my way!  Thanks again and Hope to see you again soon.

PPinky Christmas

Hi Everyone

I was so thrilled to be asked to be a Guest Designer at Scrapping4funChallenges

The Theme for the next fortnight is Anything Goes.  Please come on over and share your creations.

Thank you to Rachelle and the team for having me join them for this challenge

I know it hasn't been that long since Christmas but I like to get started on my cards early.  I would like to share with you a card that I have made for a friend.  Ppinkydolls are one of her favourite Images and she is also all about PINK! So here is what I came up with for her (with a lot of Green too lol)

I made an 7" Easel Card.  The Image is called Cold Days and I coloured it using Promarkers.  I used a Bazzill Bling for the Base/Frame Layer and used Wild Rose Studio Patterned Papers.   The dies are a Holly Flourish from Cheery Lynn and a Cottage Cutz Holly Die.  The image was cut out and layered using Spellbinders Grand Ovals.  The Sentiment was stamped using a Memento Tuxedo Ink Pad and is from Stampingallday.  To finish I added Pink and Green Pearl Gems

I hope you like what I have created for her!  Thank you for visiting today and sharing this card with me.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Spreading the Happiness

Hi Everyone

I have something slightly different and please please don't anyone be offended this is purely a bit of fun and nothing dark and sinister!

It's time for a new challenge over at Creative Craft Cottage.

The Theme for the next fortnight is Anything Goes.  Please come on over and join in with us, we love visiting your blogs and seeing what you all create.  We have two wonderful sponsors for this challenge and I got to work with an image from ppinkydollsart called How Beautiful

Thank you to both our sponsors for providing us with such great Images to work with.

I have a friend who has been feeling down lately.  She is a huge ppinkydollsart fan and I wanted to make her something a bit different from just a card to send her and cheer her up.  I was researching on the net ways to add a little happiness and I came across a spell site which had loads of spells for different things and this one jumped out at me.  I asked the site if it was ok to use it and others in my crafting and they gave me permission. I have seen the criss cross cards around blogland and I wanted to have a go at one so what better way to present a little happiness spell than inside a criss cross card. It's not anything I have ever thought about doing but I know that she will find it all a bit of fun and it will likely make her smile.  Mission accomplished!

I made the basic card using a tutorial I found and it turned out slightly smaller than I wanted so I adapted the measurements and made the card base to suit.  I used a Bazzill Basics for the base card and the patterned papers are from Lili of the Valley.  I coloured the Image using ProMarkers and a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen.  I then used a X-Cut Circle Die to cut it our.  This was then layered onto a Scalloped Circle which I cut using a Spellbinders die.  I cut two of the Memory Box Loveland Corners out.  One in Green and One in Pink and then used the butterflies from the Pink One and added them onto the Green one (Think that made sense!!)  I typed the Spell Ingredients and Method and printed them from my PC.  I mounted this onto the Bazzill.  I used my favourite tool in my craft  box which is my X-Cut Corner Punch to round the edges and added Pink satin bows.  I decorated the top edges with string Pearls and then finished by adding pink and white pearls around the image.

That was a longer post than I usually do so I hope you are all still with me lol!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and sharing my rather unique idea!  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

Thank You in Sepia!

Hi Everyone

Its time for a new challenge over at CCC Digi Creations.

The theme for the next fortnight is Use Die Cuts.  We have two sponsors for this challenge.  I got to work with an image from Stitchy Bear Stamps called Pretty In Pink.  (She didn't end up very pink this time lol!)

I coloured the Image using ProMarkers.  The Card Blank is a 6" Scalloped Square and my Base/Frame layer is a Bazzill Basics.  The Patterned Paper is from a Forever in Time Paper Pack.  The Sentiment was stamped using a Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad.  This is an old Wodden Stamp that I have had for a long time.  I used a Creative Expressions Vinery Die and the Butterfly is a Memory Box Die.  To finish I added Paper Flowers and Brown Pearl Gems.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and share this card with me.  Please come on over and show us what you can do with your die cuts.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.

One Hot Fairy!

Hi Everyone

It's here!!!  The first New Release of 2016 from Fabrika Fantasy.  She is called Fire Fairy and you can find her and all the other fabulous Digi Stamps in the store here.

She is One Hot Fairy!!

For my card I followed a sketch for a change.  I am hoping to take part in more sketch challenges, I think they are really good for making you think of different ways to do things.  Previously I have always followed a sketch how it is but this time I turned it on its side.  Ooohh Get Me lol!

Here is the sketch

It's from the Crafty Creations Challenges current challenge and I liked the simplicity of it.  The DT made some stunning cards using it so I thought I would have a go.

I made an A5 Card.  I coloured the image using Promarkers then used a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen to add some sparkle  (Quite alot of it actually!) I wanted to keep her the firey colours but then I struggled for background papers as I don't have hardly any reds or oranges in my stash!  My Base/Frame Layer is an encapsulated Red Glitter Card.  The Patterned Paper is from a Lili of the Valley Paper Pad.  The sentiment is from Stampingallday and I used a Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad to stamp this up.  I added a Red Satin Ribbon and to finish some Clear Flower Gems.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges

Ribbon Weaving!

Hi Everyone and Happy New Year!

Its the start of a New Challenge over at CCC Digi Creations.

The Theme for the Next Fortnight is Anything Goes.  We have two sponsors for this challenge.  I am working with a  Morgan's ArtWorld Image and it is called Angel Wings.

If you would like to be in with a chance of winning then please come on over to the challenge blog and link up with us.

I coloured the image using ProMarkers.  My Base/Frame Layer is a Bazzill Basics Purple Shade.  I decided to have a go at a technique I saw a while ago in a copy of Quick Cards.  The demo in the magazine was weaving two different patterned papers together which looked great.  I decided to have a go and weave two different shades of purple ribbon!  The sentiment is from Inkylicious and I stamped this using a Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad.  To finish I added some clear purple gems.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and sharing this card with me.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Hope to see you again soon.
